Just as John had promised, after answering questions at home about where he was going, he dressed a little nicely. They were only going out for giant burritos after all but it sure didn't hurt to try and impress. He showed up and looked up at the house before slipping out and walking up to the door. Surprised when Jack opened the door.

Jack spoke with him a bit. Trying to find out about this guy that was coming for his daughter. Jack called for Kim, all while still eying John up. John for his part didn't waver under that stare. He stood calm and smiling while waiting for Kim.

"Nice to meet you Sam, she mentioned you. And her father." He smiled as he sat down and thought. "I think it was a mutual bumping into one another." He relaxed and smiled when Joey came into the picture.


Jack looked down and smiled scooped Joey up into his arms letting him hide his face. Jack looked at John again, studying. John smiled and stood up when Kim came down. "You look beautiful Kim."

Sam looked amused once more the way he mentioned Jack, knowing Kim had already warned him how Jack was with any guy interested in her. "Kim with her nose in a book, I'm sure." she chuckled, motioning for Jack to sit down with her and then leaning against him, partly to keep him from getting up and throwing a blanket around Kim when Sam noticed what she was wearing, which was something she'd actually bought.

Sam smiled when she saw John and walked up beside him. "Thank you. I see you've met my family, most of it." Tori was asleep and Diesel just looked up at this new person before wanting attention from Sam. "Kim told me you two were going out for giant burritos. Where is this place?" Sam asked, thinking they'd have to go there the next time she was pregnant.

John smiled at Sam. "I'll make a deal with you, we go and they are good? I'll make sure to send the address home with Kim for you."

"I hope they're good because Jack and I love Mexican food."

Kim took John's hand, leading him to the door. "We're gonna head out. I'll be home later. Bye, daddy."

Sam smiled as they left, "Have a good time."

Jack muttered a little before speaking. "Get her home in one piece. Not a hair out of place."

Sam said "Jack" at the same time Kim said "dad", Sam looking at him and speaking softly, "Behave."

Kim glared at him a moment before they headed out and she shut the door. "Sorry if my dad was a little...cranky." she chuckled.

"My dad's the same with my older sister. So I've seen it." He chuckled softly and opened the car door for her before walking around to get in. "You'll just have to brush your hair if I mess it up."

She chuckled as she slid into the passenger seat, latching her belt. "I almost told him that but he wouldn't have seen the humor in it." Sam would have thought it was funny but Jack wouldn't have been amused. "I think that's some unwritten rule when it comes to dads and daughters. It's like they're all for their sons going on dates."

"Oh my dad told me to stay out of trouble." He chuckled softly and started up the car.

"See, my dad would never tell me that." she chuckled, adjusting her seat belt. "Unless I was going out with girlfriends...like we never went out and met up with guys." Even when they did, she actually behaved herself.

"Well with me you are in good hands." He gave a little playful wink as he pulled out of her driveway.

She smiled at that as they headed out. "So, what do you do when you're not being interrogated by my father." she teased.

"Take some classes, try to make something of myself." He chuckled and glanced at her. "Take beautiful women out for burritos."

"Same here, along with avoiding becoming an adult for as long as possible." She glanced over at him, a bit of a smirk on her face, Kim in a teasing mood. "So, how many dates do you take out for giant burritos?"

"See you are special. Most girls want the flashy fancy stuff." He looked over at her. "That I leave for when I have more time for planning. I have to give you something to look forward to."

"I don't need the flashy, fancy stuff. I'd rather just have fun." She'd looked up at him before she spoke, making sure he was serious. "You're different. I like that. You don't need to show off to make an impression."

"Not so much an issue of showing off. Not for me anyway. More wanting to treat a girl special every now and then." He smiled at her. "I am different, been called too childish before. I just like to joke around and have fun."

"We all need a little fun in our life. The last couple of years have been good but the year or so before that, I was a handful for dad and Sam." Which was kinda funny because she didn't look like the trouble type. "This giant burrito dinner should be fun. Just how giant are they?"

"You'll see." He grinned, oh she'd like this. And he knew if Kim liked it she'd tell Sam.

She really had no idea how big they were or just how close they were to the 7lb burrito. She just smirked and glanced over at him. "I can't wait. Did you bring the Beano?" she teased.

He smirked and grabbed a brown bag and handed it to her. He just to be a pain in the ass went and bought Beano, Prilosec, and the Tums and Rolaids.

"Oh my god!" The tone of her voice was higher as she said that once she looked into the bag. "I can't believe you bought this stuff." She chuckled and looked over each item. "Now I can't wait to see this burrito. Are you sure it's not bigger than me?"

"Nah it's no seven pounder." He smirked but she'd see it wasn't too far off. He pulled up into El Tepeyac and parked.

Honestly, she didn't even think it would be half the size of the seven pounder, just thinking it was bigger than a normal size burrito. "Whatever size it is, I'm starving and can't wait to try it."

"You might regret saying that." He winked and walked in with her. As they sat down a tray was being taken to another table with the Manuel Special. They had their smaller burritos too, but the fun was ordering one of those.
