Just as John had promised, after answering questions at home about where he was going, he dressed a little nicely. They were only going out for giant burritos after all but it sure didn't hurt to try and impress. He showed up and looked up at the house before slipping out and walking up to the door. Surprised when Jack opened the door.

Jack spoke with him a bit. Trying to find out about this guy that was coming for his daughter. Jack called for Kim, all while still eying John up. John for his part didn't waver under that stare. He stood calm and smiling while waiting for Kim.

"Let's go." She kept her arms and legs wrapped around him, thinking that he could carry her back to shore. "Where is your place? Over in Santa Monica?"

"Yeah it is." And he did carry her, grinning because he was enjoying how she clung on to him.

She noticed that grin on his face and watched him a moment before stealing a few kisses. "What are you so happy about?" she asked, the same grin on her face.

"I'm getting to take this wicked amazing girl home with me." He smirked and kissed her back.

"Any chance that girl can take a shower at your place?" she smiled, finally letting go of him and dropping her feet down onto the sand, which quickly stuck to her wet skin. She picked up her clothes and shimmied into her jeans with a grunt. "I hate putting on clothes when I'm wet."

"She can definitely take a shower. Though I make no promises about not joining her." He chuckled gently.

"She wouldn't mind if you did." she smiled, carding her fingers through her wet hair before stealing a kiss. "You can wash her back...and her front."

"Just get my hands all over." He chuckled and opened the car door for her.

"She doesn't mind and she'll be doing the same thing to you." she teased before ducking down into the passenger seat.

"She's welcome to that." He playfully patted her ass.

With a smirk on her face, she pushed her ass back into his touch before she slipped into his car, sitting down and latching her seat belt. "Do you live close?" she asked, realizing that made it sound like she wanted to get there quickly.

"yes I do." Well it wasn't as if he wasn't wanting to be there already. He smiled as he slipped in.

She wanted to get there quickly, she just didn't want him to know that but it didn't matter, especially with her next words. "Good, then it won't take long to get there."

"Not long at all." He grinned at her. He wanted to be there like now. He pulled out and made the short-ish drive back to his place.

She smiled over at him as they headed to his place, she guessed was near campus. "So, what's your major?"

"Criminal justice. Guess in some ways I am a chip off the old block." He chuckled gently since his father was a cop.

"I guess I am, too. I'm going for an Associates degree in Computer Programming so I can work for CTU." she explained since she was more familiar with what Jack and Sam did than the art and design her mother did.

"Fun but dangerous job isn't it? Or you'll just be in office mostly?" He glanced over at her and smiled.

"The office for starters but once I get on there, I'll see what else I have to take to do what they do." She didn't know all the details about their job but knew it was dangerous. "I'm sure if I get out of the office, dad will keep certain assignments from me, like he does Sam."

"Sounds like something my dad would do." He chuckled as they arrived at his place. "Here we go."

"They are hell bent on protecting us from everything." She knew her dad meant well but sometimes it felt like he was holding her back. She quickly forgot about all of that once they arrived at his place and she got out of the car with the shirt he'd won in her hand, looking around. "That was a short trip."

"I got lucky to find this place." He smiled softly and winked at her. "Now you know where to find me if you ever want me."

"You're close to school. I've been driving from Encino for the last three years. I wanted to graduate with my friends." she told him as they headed inside since she used to live nearby on tenth. "Oh, I have a feeling I'll be coming to see you again."

"Often I hope." He smirked a little and let her inside his place.

She walked on inside and then turned to face him. "Oh yeah. That's what I'm thinking." she grinned.
