Just as John had promised, after answering questions at home about where he was going, he dressed a little nicely. They were only going out for giant burritos after all but it sure didn't hurt to try and impress. He showed up and looked up at the house before slipping out and walking up to the door. Surprised when Jack opened the door.

Jack spoke with him a bit. Trying to find out about this guy that was coming for his daughter. Jack called for Kim, all while still eying John up. John for his part didn't waver under that stare. He stood calm and smiling while waiting for Kim.

He drove them to a nice section of the beach, and got out waiting for her. He was glad she wasn't wanting the night to end because neither was he.

Her stomach felt like a big, hard lump on the ride to the beach and once she got out, she almost thought she was gonna be sick but instead she burped, as quietly as she could, laughing softly. "God, I'm sorry but that felt so good."

He laughed gently and let out his own burp, patting his stomach. He grinned at her then taking her hand. "No need to be sorry."

She chuckled softly at the burp and happily took his hand as they headed toward the beach. "Before the night is over, we might be glad you bought all that stuff you did."

"I always like to be prepared." He grinned and drew her close to him.

She was glad it was a warm night since half of her middle was exposed thanks to the shirt she was wearing. Still, she smiled up at him when he pulled her close and she snuggled up against him. "You must have been a boy scout when you were younger."

"Just something my dad taught me." He smiled softly and looked at her. He was really enjoying this date. He had definite plans to see about taking her out again, soon.

"My dad used to teach me how to scare off boys." she chuckled softly, glancing up at him. She was hoping he'd want to go out again soon and was thankful she had Sam to keep her dad in check. "And swore I couldn't date until I was thirty."

"Oh so I am breaking a big rule here." He laughed at that, sounded like something his dad would say about Lucy. "So me asking you out again for tomorrow night might not go over well?"

"It's more like a rule I've been breaking since I turned about fourteen." She laughed softly and nudged his arm with hers. "It will go over very well with me and Sam will make dad behave."

"Then how about we catch a movie tomorrow? Anything you want to see." He smiled nudging her back before stopping a moment. He turned to face her with a smile and kissed her softly.

"It just happens I'm free tomorrow night." she smiled, thinking over the movies that were out and knowing one she'd been wanting to see. She stopped when he did and looked up at him, resting her hands on his sides as she returned that kiss.

It was a sweet kiss, one he allowed to linger for a few moments as his thumb brushed over her cheek. He slowly broke the kiss and smiled at her. "Good, so am I."

She'd allowed herself to get lost in that kiss, her eyes slowly opening after he pulled back. "Aren't I the lucky one." She didn't exactly specify if that was in response to what he'd said or in response to that kiss. Again, keeping him guessing.

That just had him smiling more, he was attracted to the fact she kept him guessing. "Hey that's my line." A playful smirk playing over his lips.

"I didn't think you'd mind if I borrowed it." She gave him a playful smile as she gazed up at him. At 6'1", he was almost a foot taller than she was at 5'3".

"You're cute, I can let you borrow it." He winked down at her with that grin of his firmly in place.

A soft giggle escaped her lips as she gazed up at him. "I'll give it back if I get something in exchange."

"And what pray tell would you like in exchange?" His hands went to her hips and he drew her close.

"That's a good start." she told him, referring to him pulling her closer and pressing her body gently against his. "But I was talking about this." She placed her hands on his shoulders and tugged him down until her lips were brushing his.

His arms went around her in a protective embrace. His lips pressing against hers firmly, kissing her deeply this time around.

She wrapped her arms around his neck, holding him close and returning that kiss.

He made a deep groan that caused a rumble in his chest. He continued the kiss letting his tongue tease along her lower lip.

She heard that groan and it had her sighing softly, Kim letting her tongue slide along his as they kissed.

He coaxed her tongue into his mouth, capturing it and sucking on it teasingly. His hands settling right at the small of her back.
